Case study - Vodafone

B2C site redesign

Part of the Web Simplification 2 (WS2) team concentrating on key journeys for the new Vodafone B2C website. Mobile first responsive framework, creating new flows for: top ups, data add-ons, roaming, recommitment, promotions & device diagnostics… In line with key stakeholders requirements, iterations & working closely with BA’s & Visual Designers using Jira, Axure & Sketch. Creating wireframes, prototypes & annotated UX specs for both the Visual designers & a Front end development team.

The problem in brief

Vodafones B2C site is dated, in need of a refresh & bringing up to date. Opens up opportunities to bring in key journeys providing the customer with a better user experience.

Actions: Working closely with BA’s, UI Designers & a team of developers to gather business requirements in order to redesign different sections of the site for stakeholder approval. Here we’ll take a look at the mobile data add on as an example.

User flows

After working closely with the BA and aligning with the app team I eventually put together the final flow for the data add on with the different entry points as seen below:

UX specification

For the sake of sharing with the business we put together screens depicting the flow with annotations.

The solution

After gathering requirements & working closely with the BA, I put together a flow based on business requirements which was then prototyped & tested with customers whilst getting buy in from the relevant stakeholder. All of the new UX was user tested with Vodafone customers.
