About me...

👋, I specialise in UX, UI, Product, & Interaction Design, & have over 14 years’ experience contracting in the UX space. I’m comfortable working end-to-end or focusing on specific phases of the process. My background spans several sectors, including:

• Telecoms: EE, Vodafone, Telenet, BT Enterprise, BT Consumer, Virgin Media O2
• Automotive: Volvo, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Ford, Peugeot
• Betting & Gambling: William Hill, Ladbrokes Coral, PokerStars
• E-commerce: Everything Managed, Frasers Group, Wiggle

I’ve also worked with a number of agencies across the UK & Europe, including Wunderman Thompson Commerce, AKQA, Mindshare, Brilliant Basics, Critical Mass, Furthermore & CBA London.

My work regularly involves competitor analysis, qualitative & quantitative research, user testing, ideation, problem-solving, UCD, wireframing, user flows, sitemaps, prototyping, design sprints, design thinking, design systems, design patterns, visual design, & brand application. I design with accessibility in mind & ensure compliance with at least AA standards.

Tools I use include Figma, FigJam, Sketch, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, Zeplin, Asana, Jira, Confluence, ChatGPT & Spinach AI.

With 16 years in the digital space, I have a strong interest in all things digital & enjoy bringing interactivity into the projects I work on. While I don’t get hands-on with code much these days, my previous experience helps me collaborate effectively with developers & evaluate UX throughout the delivery process.

I’m a fan of taking complex problems & making them simple - optimising user flows, reducing cognitive load, & following an iterate-and-test approach. I’m comfortable working in agile environments & delivering 0-1 products & MVPs. With a background in Graphic & Web Design, I enjoy leading the UI aspects of end-to-end product design, & I’m experienced in using, expanding, & creating design systems.

Outside of work
I enjoy travelling, music, film, & socialising when time allows. I keep an eye on the football & take an interest in most sports, as well as current affairs. I’m also interested in photography - previously using a DSLR before mobiles took over. I love learning new digital skills. I hold a British passport & a full UK driving licence.
